Smile-A-Mile has five camp sessions and retreats each year at Children’s Harbor on Lake Martin.  Children’s Harbor is a nonprofit organization donating their facility for our camps and retreats. All of the sessions are staffed by Children’s of Alabama healthcare professionals caring for the children’s unique medical needs.

Sibling Camp

Thursday – Sunday

This session is for siblings, ages 6-18, of children who are either on or off therapy. Bereaved siblings are welcome as well. No patients or parents attend this session. Siblings often feel forgotten and alone when their sick brother or sister is receiving most of the attention due to treatment. Sibling Camp gives them a chance to be around other children who understand being a sibling of a child with cancer. Siblings enjoy all of the traditions and fun activities of camp.

Youth Camp

Monday – Saturday

This session is for kids, ages 6 through 12, who are either on or off therapy. No parents or siblings attend this session. Campers participate in activities such as arts & crafts, fishing, boating, archery, talent show and canoeing.

Teen Camp

Monday – Saturday

This session is for teens, ages 13 through 18, who are either on or off therapy.  No parents or siblings attend this session.  Campers participate in activities such as arts & crafts, fishing, boating, archery, talent show and canoeing.
