I have been a counselor at Smile-A-Mile’s youth camp for the past two years. And those two weeks have changed my entire life. Going into my first week of camp I was extremely excited, but I had no idea the lasting impact that these children would have on me. These children are so full of life, love, and joy and they have taught me far beyond anything I could ever teach them. Smile-A-Mile is a place where each individual is appreciated for being unique and celebrated for being special. It has been an honor to be a counselor at camp SAM where I have been able to meet and love on the world’s most precious angels. Because of Smile-A-Mile my heart is filled with some of the strongest, most genuine, and unforgettable people I know and I will treasure the memories I have made with them for the rest of my life.
