Four years ago I was looking to join an organization that worked with children since I had just received my degree in Elementary Education. I heard about Smile-A-Mile and thought I would see what it was all about. Being the daughter of a cancer survivor, Smile-A-Mile was the perfect place for me but I never dreamed that it would become such a huge part of my life. I joined the Junior Board in 2013, and since joining, I have been a counselor at camp for two different camp sessions, Monkey C Monkey Run Chairman for two years, and now I am serving as the Junior Board President. I cannot imagine giving my time and effort to anyone/anything more deserving. The children and families that we work with are amazing. There are simply no words to describe the amount of love and respect I have for every single child and family that goes through our program. They are some of the strongest individuals I know, and it is an honor to be involved with such a special organization. I am forever part of the Smile-A-Mile family, and cannot imagine what my life would look life without my Smile-A-Mile family!
