My SAM Story

In the winter of 2009 I was diagnosed with Non-Hodgkins Lymphoma, and that following summer in 2010 I had the opportunity to attend Camp Smile-A-Mile. I immediately fell in love with it! The staff, the activities, and the facilities were all so wonderful. I continued for the next five summers, until I no longer was able to attend as a camper. I immediately transitioned to a counselor and again loved it. It was a completely different experience, but it was an amazing one at that. Having the opportunity to help with all the activities that Smile-A-Mile participates in is an amazing chance to give back just a little of what they gave me.
