Ride of Love
Ride of Love 2022 Update
These past few years have been difficult to navigate and, sadly, have not allowed for a traditional camp season. Going into this year’s camp season, we have continued to make decisions based on the recommendations of our Medical Team at Children’s. These recommendations included the cancellation of On-Therapy Family Camp in April. As a result of these changes, we also made the difficult decision to cancel the Ride of Love for 2022 while we reevaluate the viability of the event moving forward.
We are incredibly grateful to all who have been involved with the ROL over the last 20 years. What began as one individual’s passion grew to be an extraordinary ride for so many; but more importantly became a special part of camp. The ROL has raised over $1.4 million for the benefit of the children and families we serve.
We will continue to share updates as we have them. Thank you for your support and your patience!
The Ride of Love (ROL) is a very special cycling event that raises funds for Smile-A-Mile. Over the years, the Ride of Love has grown to be much more than a fundraising event. It’s a tradition and part of our programming. Traditionally cyclists stay together as a group throughout the entire ride, pedaling more than 150 miles to ride into On-Therapy Family Camp at Lake Martin to be greeted by cheering children and families.
