Ride of Love
Saturday, April 28, 2018
The Ride of Love is a very special cycling event that raises funds for Smile-A-Mile. Over the years, the Ride of Love has grown to be much more than a fundraising event. It’s a tradition and part of our programming. The cyclists stay together as a group throughout the entire ride. They pedal more than 150 miles to ride into On Therapy Family Camp at Lake Martin and are greeted by cheering children and families. In 2018, the Ride of Love will have some exciting changes! We will begin the ride at Smile-A-Mile Place in downtown Birmingham. We can’t wait to share details with you in the next few months.
The Ride of Love is a fully supported ride that is accompanied by the Jefferson County Sheriff’s Department, North Star Ambulance, Cahaba Cycles mechanic and a sag vehicle. There are scheduled stops for food, rest and hydration along the way.
